There were no knockdowns in the fight that Quintana won with scores of 115-113, 116-112 and 116-112.
Quintana got off to a fast start, winning three of the first four rounds. Williams, 5 inches taller that Quintana, used his right jab to pull even on the judges' scorecard after eight rounds.
However, cuts over Williams' left eye in the eighth and over his right eye in the ninth seemed to make him sluggish and Quintana quickly took advantage, rocking him repeatedly with his left hand in the next three rounds.
Williams rallied in the final round, but it was too late.
Quintana improved to 25-1 with 19 knockouts. Williams, from Aiken, S.C., dropped to 33-1 with 24 KOs.
Both fighters weighed in at 146 3/4 pounds.
